[ WINTEC EVOLUTION ] WINTEC ELASTIFLEX TREE

Ron and Ken commenced development of the Wintec tree in the early 1970's and have progressed to using two different methods of tree manufacture.

The first method developed now serves well for low sales volume Wintec models which have a high unit cost in comparison. It is made by injecting two liquids into a mould and allowing a chemical reaction between the two to take place which turns the liquids into a solid flexible plastic.

The second and most popular Wintec tree is made using an injection moulding technique. Injection moulded trees are only used in high volume Wintec models. An injection moulded tree involves melting pellets of thermo plastic and injecting the liquid plastic into a mould under 200 tonnes of pressure.

The Wintec Elastiflex tree has been designed to stay rigid laterally to protect the horse's spine but flex side to side in order to respond to the horse and riders natural movement.

Current Wintec trees are guaranteed for the lifetime of the saddle under normal conditions of use which is a great indication of how confident Ron and Ken are in the Wintec tree.
