An adjustable "Y" girthing system is featured on the Wintec Pro Dressage only. Uniquely the front girth strap is attached to the saddle tree point whilst the rear girth strap is a Y shape and incorporates an adjustable strap fitted to the back of the saddle. The purpose of the Y girthing system is to secure the front and back of the saddle causing less movement in the saddle when riding.
To use the system it is best to slacken the adjustable strap and to fit the saddle to the horse with the girth positioned correctly. Once girthed up tight, the rear adjuster should be firmly pulled to set the Y into the correct position for your horse. There is no need to change the setting if using the saddle on the same horse, however if the saddle is being used on more than one horse the Y girthing system should be refitted to tailor the fit to each horse.
The Y Girthing System is particularly useful in stabilising the saddle when riding broad shouldered warmblood horses.
